10AM - 1PM WALK A MILE FOR ANIMALS - DOG WALK & ANIMAL FAIRE The one-mile walk will start and end at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. There will be vendors, entertainment, workshops, a bake sale and animal readings by Paula Brown. Entry fee - $15.00. Participants will receive a T-shirt and bottle of water.

FIRST AID FOR DOGS AND CATS WORKSHOP - 1 - 5pm $45.00 workshop fee. Covers treatments for pet emergencies that include shoking, shock, poisoning and broken bones. Reservations required.

BAHIA SUR KENNEL CLUB OF CHULA VISTA ANNUAL ALL-BREED DOG SHOW. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the sport of pure bred dogs. Bahia Sur Kennel Club will host their annual all-breed and obedience dog show in the soccer field at Southwestern College, 900 Otay Lakes Road, Chula Vista. Parking is free and food is available. Additionaly, there will be Sheriff K-9 units on the grounds giving demonstrations and information about this most important program. The show grounds are lovely for this event. Not only can spectators learn about showing dogs and obedience, they will also be able to browse among the many vendors who specialize in dog related gifts and equipment. Many of the items found at this show are not easy to find and are available at bargain prices. Come stroll this beautiful grounds and watch the breed of your choice in action! The show starts at 8am Saturday and Sunday and runs all day. For those of you just starting out, there will be a PUPPY MATCH that will start right after Best In Show on Saturday. This conformation and obedience match is open to all purebred puppies and any adult dog who is not major pointed. Puppies as young as 3 months of age can enter this event. CANINE MASSAGE LECTURE 6:30-8pm $10.00 per person includes materials, snacks and refreshments. This lecture will cover relationship between massage and your dog's anatomical structure, what massage can and cannot accomplish and which conditions may be improved by canine massage. PAWS TO CELEBRATE, A SUMMER GALA DINNER THEATER - Held at South Mesa SNCO Club on Camp Pendleton, Cost: $125 per person. Join Oceanside Mayor Jim Wood and Vista Mayor Morris Vance for an evening of dinner theater, which will include a performance of "Joey and Mari's Comedy Italian Wedding."
